Be Respectful	Follow all adult directions Use appropriate language/volume with adults and peers Accept individual differences
Be Responsible	Take pride in school environment Follow school dress code Accept consequences for your actions
Be Safe	Stay in designated areas Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself at all times Immediately notify adults with safety concerns
Be Prepared and On Time	Walk directly to class Arrive to classroom on time with all necessary materials

The Valley Ridge Academy Discipline system is progressive and follows the St. Johns County School District Student Code of Conduct. Any Level IV offense, as stated in the SJCSD Conduct Code, will result in a referral to the Gaines Discipline committee. See below:

Violation	Intervention/Consequence (Issued by Teacher)
1st	Verbal Warning/ Restate Expectation
2nd	Classroom Intervention/Document on Tracking Form
3rd	Classroom Intervention/Parent Contact (required)/Document on Tracking Form
4th +	Referral to Dean (Submit Tracking Form)

*The SJCSD Student Code of Conduct applies to all District Students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. It applies to students:

• While on school grounds
• While being transported by School District Transportation
• During school-sponsored events, such as field trips, athletic functions and similar activities.
