What is a School Advisory Council?<\/strong>
The School Advisory Council is a team of people representing various segments of our school\u2019s community \u2013 parents, teachers, administrators, support staff, and community\/business partners, established through Florida law, with a shared goal of increasing student achievement in a safe learning environment.<\/p>

Mission Statement:\u00a0<\/b>The Valley Ridge Academy School Advisory Council (SAC) aims to foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that bridges the school and community. Our mission is to support the development and implementation of educational goals and objectives, enhance the School Improvement Plan, and promote cooperation between shareholders. We strive to reflect the diversity of our school community, ensuring balanced representation and active participation from parents, guardians, staff, and community members. Through advisory functions, we aim to inquire, inform, suggest, and evaluate progress toward our shared goals, contributing to the continuous improvement of our educational programs and the overall success of our students.<\/i><\/p>

\u00a0<\/b>Purpose of SAC:\u00a0<\/b>The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a school-based group intended to represent the school, the community, and those persons closest to the students that share responsibility for supporting the school\u2019s continuous improvement.<\/i><\/p>

The SAC is responsible for final decision-making at the school relating to the annual implementation of a schoolwide improvement plan (SIP). The SAC assists in the annual preparation of both the SIP and the school’s annual budget, as well as the evaluation of the SIP. For further information, see Section1001.452 (2), F.<\/i><\/p>
